This was my original CD cover finished as I had intended it on being plain black and white and I adjusted the levels and tone so that it was exactly how I wanted it to look. Again the simplistic theme was continuous through to the text and as the main image was so powerful I felt it made sense to leave the font as a sub-focus.I then discovered the overlay tool in which I could add colour to the image whilst still keeping the composition and layout etc. I looked at brighter colours as seen below but settled in the end for an electric blue to give it an edge and almost an electro feel, it made it much more contemporary and appealing to today's market.
The text was originally going to be something quite bold, making an impact but I looked at a few different fonts as shown to the left and couldn't find one that was giving the desired effect. I then had a complete change of mind and opted for the more simplistic option which I think works overall and can be used as a brand font for both the main and sub text, becoming something that they associate with the artist themselves.
