RITA ORA- HOW WE DO (PARTY AND BULLSHIT)
I really love this video as I think it represents the
title and the point of the song so well, it's all about going out, being fun, young and not having a care in the world. Visually it's really colourful and bright and uses effects such as glow in the dark to keep the whole theme contemporary and consistently fun and on trend. There is flattering lighting and interesting camera angles to keep the viewers interest and to make sure everyone in it looks their best at all times, more importantly Rita of course. I think the constant change of scenes and switching keeps up with the tempo of the song well and I like how the camera is in amongst the action so they can get right up to it, touch it etc etc it's all appropriate and keeps in with the theme and purpose of the whole video. From this I will take, good lighting, interesting camera angles and the reminder to always stay relevant to the song.

DESTINY'S CHILD- SAY MY NAME

This is the original video for Say My Name and although they haven't followed the plot of the song exactly it's still effective and looks relevant. Obviously they have done some visual experimenting by separating the band members and giving them designated room with their own colour, they also have chosen small dance move that is noticeable throughout. They are in a home setting though which is something I want to channel in my filming so I will take inspiration from this set up.

BEYONCE- IRREPLACEABLE
This viedo is about exactly what I want to channel in my own, she's chucking her boyfriend out after finding out he has cheated. The whole video is about woman power and this is something that I really want to translate, I love how they're in a home setting and that it's all really realistic and believeable although it obviously has been glamourised and Beyonce is show being a strong and beautiful woman. There is quote alot of attitude in the video that really makes the viewer side with Beyonce and helps to elaborate the story and the emotion that comes with it.

STORYLINE/PLOT
I intend to make a 4 minute video using the song ‘Say My Name’ by Destiny’s Child as the audio, the video will reflect the story of the song which talks about a girl having suspicions about her boyfriend cheating as she notices a change in his behaviour. To make my story obvious to the viewer I want to include all the stereotypical signs of cheating, such as lipstick on the shirt or the cheater denying phone calls etc. I will probably be using my friends and other media students to feature in the video as I need two girls and a boy for this along with possible extras depending on scenes that I will plan out at a slightly later stage. I think that this is a storyline alot of viewers will relate to and it's simple but can still be executed well, it's definitely something that has a stereotype surrounding it and alot of people know what the common signals of their man cheating are so they will be able to recognise these in my video. I really wanted to use this song also because I feel like it's a classic and almost an anthem for my target audience as although it was released many years ago it's something many of us grew up listening to and will always remember. The video will be told like a story, building up to the climax in which the girlfriend makes more and more discoveries until it finally comes to a blow and she can be seen throwing the boys stuff out.

PROPS/MAKEUP/COSTUME
Their attire will be quite casual with an every-day look, they obviously need to look nice and their makeup will be done so that they look their best but I want to avoid the glamorous and over done look as I don't think this will be appropriate.

LOCATIONMost of the filming will be done inside, in a house location as I feel this would be the most appropriate and relevant setting in relation to my storyline; this is also beneficial as it means lighting can be altered and set up. I also want to incorporate a scene in a car in which the man gets out to fill up petrol and leaves his phone in the car, the girlfriend sees his  ‘mistress’ is calling when a woman’s name comes up on the screen.

PROPOSAL

I have chosen to do brief number 1 where I will be promoting the release of an album therefore producing a music promo video along with a cover for its release and a magazine advertisement. I figured this was the most suited to me and I will find it the most enjoyable out of all the optional briefs. I listen mostly to RnB or hip hop music so I would ideally like to incorporate this into my project and finished result, I don’t think it necessary to use a current song or use something that has not been released yet, but instead something that I can get a story line out of, something that I can make a professional video for, obviously this is being filmed with people that aren’t actors and there will be minimum to no costs involved so it needs to be something that is relatively simple to act out to with a clear theme.
